I cried for a while while watching the film. It depicts nuances of family relationships and mortality that I could relate to a lot, surprisingly. M’s relationship with his grandmother was beautifully crafted. I enjoyed the quiet moments, the moments when they shared laughter and grew closer. I really enjoyed the acting and cinematography, as well as the background music that accompanied the scenes. The story was written in a way that conveyed the importance of loving and caring for one’s parents and loved ones without being pretentious. I really liked the ending and it was nice to see the whole family visit Ah Ma’s grave during Ching Ming.
