The Girl and the Lion Lion 183 of 9
Tale
After years in New York, 14-year-old Autumn returns to the Amazon rainforest to save her childhood village and her beloved jaguar friend. movie.. Teenager Autumn Edison (Lumi Pollack) lives in New York with her father.
Her father hid letters from her tribal relatives
They left their home in the Amazon rainforest and their tribe after her activist mother was murdered eight years earlier. Loggers, poachers and others destroyed the land around them. As a child, Autumn befriended a jaguar she named Hope.
There is only one jaguar left in the area, and it is hunted relentlessly
Fearing it is Hope, Autumn runs away from home in a desperate attempt to save her friend. Following her agoraphobic science teacher, Anja (Emily Bett Rickards), who tries to protect her student despite being completely hapless herself. This reminds me a lot of those old Disney movies with unrealistic characters, unrealistic situations, and unrealistic animals.
I don’t really have a problem with Anja
At least this one has its heart in the right place and some of the jungle locations are amazing. When it comes to unrealistic characters, I’m more put off by the Disney princess experiment. It’s ridiculous that they float down the river like in the cartoons.
Made for comic relief
Amazon’s situation is kind of simplistic, to say the least. The movie is nice and funny, but the fakeness overwhelms the best aspects.
