Basically, they own the land and secure leases to drill for oil and gas. As foremen on a construction site, they build roads, housing for workers (the human camp), oversee the assembly of excavators, and the drilling of the site itself, especially in remote areas. They are also part of the repair, problem-solving, and relief team.
Landman is another Taylor Sheridan hit in a long line of them
It has everything you want from a good series, lots of drama, action, plot twists, even a little comedy, etc. i.e. Obviously, it’s beautifully written, as Sheridan does, but it also has an amazing cast.
The same goes for Hamm
It stars the incredible Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, Ali Larter, Demi Moore, and more. Billy Bob Thornton was born to play this role and he’s absolutely amazing here. I’ll be shocked if he’s not nominated for an Emmy for his performance here.
In addition to being beautifully written and acted, it’s also beautifully filmed
Sheridan has so many great performances, and Landman is one of the best of them all. It looks like it’s going to be a long time coming, and I’m here for it.
