The first 2D animated Looney Tunes movie from a non – Looney Tunes fan
Full Title: An Honest Review of The Day the Earth Exploded: A Looney Tunes Movie, Warner Bros. Well…Warner Bros decide not to make a stupid decision for once, instead of keeping their first animated theatrical release Looney Tunes movie delayed forever or canceled they release their animated movie on the big screen…that’s surprising if I’m being completely honest here. Okay, so I’m watching the movie yesterday along with Joker 2 Folie a Deux (that movie I’ll talk about in another post) and I have some thoughts on it. Before I start the review, a few things first: For those of you who don’t know, I’m not a Looney Tunes fan, never have been and never will be. I’ve never been a Looney Tunes fan my whole life because the vast majority of the characters are annoying and unfunny (especially the popular ones) and their humor is lazy, uncreative, repetitive and just plain cringe a lot of the time, very rarely.
I will talk about the pros and cons of this movie
i found a short from the looney tunes library that i really like and made me laugh, and i think looney tunes cartoons are the most overrated cartoons ever that don’t deserve their popularity and i hate looney tunes and communities/bases cartoon fans who praise these cartoons too much when there are tons of other cartoons that deserve it and get attacked if someone hates and criticizes looney tunes for reasons legitimate, which leads them to a huge bias and double standards. So yeah, don’t be surprised when I get back at you if you’re going to be a jerk to me, telling me I’m childless and/or lacking in good humor just for daring to dislike a popular cartoon on which I found very overrated and not funny at all. However, considering this is Warner Bros’ first Looney Tunes animated movie on the big screen (very depressing and confusing that the looney tunes haven’t had an animated movie release in theaters for over a century, like what what was Warner Bros doing during the hull?) I’m willing to give it a shot. Also, this is a spoiler-free review, so I won’t spoil the major events of this movie. So.
Let’s start with the positives, Pros
..what do I think of this movie?… it’s good….definitely not the best of the looney tunes, but definitely not the absolute worst I’ve seen. Voice Acting: The thing that Looney tunes are mostly consistent with is the voice acting, all the voice actors/actress were on point & they match the tone of the characters emotions, Eric Bauza is perfect as Daffy and matches the tone of how crazy this character is for example.
