After years in New York City, 14-year-old Autumn returns to the Amazon jungle to save her childhood village and her beloved jaguar friend. Spiritual remake of Mia i bijeli lav (2018), an earlier film by Gilles de Maistre. This movie is a sweet family film, which will appeal to younger girls. Not much happens for parents. The plot is predictable and the moral of the story is forced upon you, but I have to be honest: it was quite fun to watch with our 6-year-old daughter. The movie has almost all the pitfalls of a family movie: overacting adults, overly wise child role, poor plot, deadly situations that can be easily survived, etc. But the main character is well-cast. The role of the dumb teacher is not believable (what is she doing there in the jungle?), but still pretty good. And if you like jungle shots with waterfalls, you won’t be disappointed.
